I’ve just spent a week with the family where we’ve all been ill and looking after each other. Stuck in the house bored. What I haven’t done is touch the internet – instead I did several things of a technology nature but not internet based. Most importantly my kids bought me “Big Brain Academy” for the Wii for my birthday. I really love it and the family are all addicted to it! – I like the way it’s non competitive (well slightly competitive but the games are not formal enough to be a measure of intelligence so you don’t have anything to prove). The group quizzes are also great and I’d recommend it. It was also interesting seeing how my score improved as I got over the illness. It really showed me that being ill really does affect the old grey matter! (at least that’s my excuse).
